Publisher's summary

As men squabble amongst themselves, the Buried Goddess makes her move.

Torsten Unger marches east in the name of the Glass Kingdom to put an end to Drad Mak, eliminating the Drav Cra threat once and for all. But can it be that simple - or is he just another pawn in the Buried Goddess' game?

After discovering that Nesilia has possessed Sora's body, Whitney Fierstown has a plan to get her back. All he needs to do is find a way to contact his old friend Kazimir, who as an upyr, knows the secrets of existence between worlds. It won't be easy, but when has it ever been?

Having won the Tal’du Dromesh, Mahraveh is now an afhem, and with her new fleet, she has the power to save her father. Muskigo has been cut off and surrounded by the Glass Army, but the time has come to bring the fight to them and for her to win this war between men.

Great story, exceptional narrator-

If Luke Daniels read the phone book, I would listen! I can't wait for the next book in the series...

Another excellent installment

Another fantastic installment in the Buried Goddess Saga. All our favorite characters are back and the action is fast and furious. I absolutely love this series. Bruno and Castle have created an incredible world with fantastic characters and deep lore. I would love to see Netflix or one of the other streaming services option this series and give it the care and respect it deserves. As always Luke Daniels delivers a fantastic performance. Only one more book to go...I'll already upset that it's going to be over.

I've been lookin forward to writing this review.

I read all of the books before going back to review them. I powered through them and have gone back and listened to the last two twice again. This is my favorite of all the books. I watched characters transform into real people in my mind. Whitney and Kazimir (I listened so my spelling is off) and their time together..., maybe my favorite part of the entire series. I am basing my next D&D character off of Whitney Fierstowne. Rhett and Jaime have overtaken Weis/Hickman as my favorite fantasy authors. I would love to see more of Whitney, Sora, Aquira, and that darn umpyr, crazy Kazzy.

A true story finally emerges

I would give this 3.5 but it doesnt do half stars. The plot finally started moving in a meaningful way. There is still plenty of filler and a few points that confused me but overall I'd say this improved over the last 2 books. I still hate books that end on a down note as I usually forget that I'm looking for the next installment. I saw this one by luck as I'd forgotten about the series as the last 2 ended in down note cliffhangers. The characters are established enough that their habits are actively used to muddle the scenarios..or our expectations of what's about to happen. I've never had a problem with Daniel's take on how he narrates and that hasn't changed.

Must Read!

If you are this far along in the series you know that it is truly one of the best fantasy series ever. Every character is so well written with my favorites continuing to be Torsten and Whitney. Jaime Castle and Rhett Bruno are masters of storytelling in this world of Pantigo and I just can’t get enough. Luke Daniels masterfully narrates the book and he brings the characters to life in a way I don’t think anyone else could. If you have started the Buried Goddess saga do yourself a favor and read this book. That ending though. Mind blow!

The Exhumed Goddess Saga

The buried goddess has risen and the tainted Glass Kingdom wages a desperate war to survive. There are no longer heroes or villains between the nations: only bands of people struggling for power, vengeance, and life. Even the original trilogy’s trio—the thief, mage and warrior---are buried…but not dead. They’ve been transformed into the wanderer, the captive and the magistrate. In War of Men, they struggle to finding their true selves and each other—using all their skill and courage to overcome the absolute chaos raining all around them. The question is can they do anything to stop the earthen goddess as she gathers her army for the final battle? With undead ravengers stalking the land and nations clashing, no one escapes this story unscathed.

Only one left...

There’s one left and I can only hope it’s as good as this one was. The authors have a strong connection and it shows. This series is worth every second.

Breathless... And without words. Amazing

Probably the most intense and dramatic book I've read in a long time never lost interest and couldn't stop listening probably 5 too 7 hours at a time. I only stopped because I had to sleep and work... But that's it.
It's a must read
If you haven't then you are missing out but probably sleeping better then I did.
