What is written can be erased.

Zander Dovetree, the son of Aphrodite, has survived the vengeance of three furies, and a childhood in foster care. Yet, he isn’t sure he can survive Jasmine Nelson, a girl with a dazzling smile, wildness in her eyes, and a shattered soul.

Jasmine is racing toward her death, and doesn’t seem to know or care about it. She gets closer every day, and is unwilling to slow down or stop. Not even her feelings for Zander can make her see where her path leads.

When someone attacks the Oracle, Jasmine and Zander jump to her rescue. Doing so puts them in the crosshairs of their enemies, and they all have one goal. Kill the seers.

Excellent despite some flaws

**I was given a free copy of this book for review purposes, my review is unbiased and freely given**

I liked much of this book,

The Narrator. Jasmine Moore did an admirable job with nearly every character, giving them each their own personal touch and made them all feel fairly real. I didn't particularly like the voice she chose to use for Zander, a kind of whispery growl, but it was distinct and not too over the top. So not much to complain about on that front, Jasmine has excellent range, a pleasant pace and is good at conveying emotion.

The Story. The main plot was surprisingly good, the politics and adventures we see while our protagonists deal with the machinations of higher beings were reasonably well delivered, for what is mostly save each other romance. The story wasn't overly complicated within the first hour you can tell the narrative is a chain of events to follow, instead of a web to unravel Comedic parts and snarky dialogue were well written and expertly delivered by our narrator,

The characters. From the first scene we get a strong sense of the character of our Female Lead (Jasmine), she's quirky, damaged and complicated but overall likeable. She's strong willed, compassionate and conflicted about... everything. Her internal monologue is actually one of the better parts of the book. The Male Lead (Zander) is not as complicated. He is unfortunately more of a caricature in the beginning, At the start of the book, he's an over the top macho douche canoe with a savior complex, just so he can mellow out and become somewhat likable over the course of the story. The other characters are mostly supporting roles but are distinct and feel individual.

The Romance. This is an ugly, massively codependent mess of relationship that still manages to be somewhat endearing, but in no way even remotely resembles anything close to a stable healthy relationship. It's very much based around turmoil and doubt and much of the time you just want to slap everyone involved.

We will Change our stars

I did not like the romance in this book. I found it really frustrating at times and wanted to bang the characters heads together. The plot I liked as well as the two main characters.
