I absolutely LOVED this 2nd book in the 24690 series. It is dark, it is intense, it is perfection. Calamity Jane and Troy Duran do a perfect job at narration. I had read the whole series and had no intention of buying it on Audible UNTIL I saw it was Troy doing the male narration. Then I just had to buy it! Five Perfect Stars across the board on this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The first book had me grinding my teeth in anger and needing our fmc to find revenge. This book helped satisfy that revenge plot. Can’t wait to see what happens in the third book.

Definitely READ TRIGGERS. This series is NOT dark romance. It’s horror with a bit of Stockholm Syndrome at best.

Everly went off the deep end — and honestly? I was cheering her on. The plot twists in White Out had my neck sore from how fast I was whipping my head around. Every time I thought I knew where things were going, the story pulled the rug out again.

Is she pretending to be unhinged? Is she actually unhinged? Who knows! Who cares! I'm here for chaos and vengeance, and Everly delivers both in blood-soaked spades.

This book is labeled “Static White” on the darkness scale, and I get it. It’s grim, brutal, and at times completely unrelenting. But... if I’m being honest? I didn’t think it was that bad. (What does that say about me?) Justice was served — messily, viciously, and exactly the way it needed to be.

No one is safe. No one is clean. And somehow, I loved every minute of it.
