#154 Putting Down a Dream, Picking up a Passion; Hannibal Navies; Retired NFL Player, VP with United Charitable

  • Summary

  • Imagine how you feel if you were ever told...

"You are no longer as remarkable as you once were."

"Perhaps you should try something else."

"Other people are now better than you."

    Personally, I've been there.

Today's podcast guest, Hannibal Navies has also been there. After almost 10 years in the NFL, he realized there were other options for him to "contribute to others" that didn't require him being on the field.

He always knew he has a passion to help others and started a foundation when he was an active player. This allowed him to continue to pursue his passion and ONE OF HIS DREAMS. This gentleman has many, and they all include "doing" for others and giving back.

He now serves as the Vice President of Development for Athletes Charitable (https://athletescharitable.org/)

(part of United Charitable; https://unitedcharitable.org) in which he is helping athletes develop philanthropic opportunities to assist others in need.

The live event interview focuses on philanthropy and how United Charitable helps individuals and businesses to give back easily. Hannibal shares his journey from an NFL career to founding the 360 Sports Academy Foundation, emphasizing the importance of leadership through athletics and helping young student athletes navigate life's challenges.

The discussion encourages viewers to chase their passions, try new things, and use their platforms for positive impact. Lessons include the value of giving back, finding personal fulfillment through helping others, and overcoming the fears associated with transitioning from one career to another.
