Obviously, the answer is yes. Most of cry at some point in our lives. As I thought about this question, I reflected on my journey related to when and how I cry.

• There is the polite tear or two.
• The sobbing, snot running out of our nose cry
• The stream of tears you can’t stop
• The surprise cry – didn’t expect it
• And several others…

When I cry is interesting. Over the years, I’ve learned to trust my body and honor it’s need to “overflow” emotion, so I let her cry when she needs/wants to. BUT for years, I suppressed the tears and would only let them out when I felt safe or when it was appropriate.

So, do you cry…

• In public
• In the car
• In front of others
• At commercials or movies or TV shows
• When someone else starts to cry

OR is there a stream of consciousness that says

• Don’t cry – it’s not safe
• Don’t cry or you’ll be seen as overly emotional.
• Don’t cry because boys don’t cry
• Don’t cry because it will embarrass us, our mom or dad or friend.
• Don’t cry because you’re ugly when you cry
• Don’t cry because it’s too vulnerable

Wherever you are on this spectrum of crying, today’s spark question is asking that you take a look at when and why you cry.

If you discover other people’s voices stuck in your thoughts – cast them out! Command that these thoughts/beliefs no longer have a place in your mind.

If you discover that it’s scary to cry, to express vulnerability and deep emotion then be kind, compassionate and sit in the awareness. Let your inner truth speak and see if you can uncover the truth and allow it a space within you.

Crying is a natural expression of the body. Tears help remove things (dust, eyelash) from our eyes. Could tears also be a way to remove energy or stuckness from our body?

I must admit, I’ve never researched this topic. It’s all been personal remembrance and experience. I learned a lot and now I understand why I was nudged to explore this topic with you. It got a bit overwhelming and confusing as my head spun with so many insights, perspectives.

We all have feminine and masculine energy within us.

Right – masculine – releasing

Yin and yang is a Chinese philosophical concept that describes two opposing forces that are interconnected and complementary.

Going one step further, it’s similar to Light and Dark – One cannot exist without the other.
