    For this fourth Sunday in Advent, we eavesdrop on the greeting between Elizabeth, mother-to-be of John the Baptist, and Mary, who has learned from the angel Gabriel that she will give birth to a son, Jesus. Elizabeth, Mary's older cousin, recognizes the work of God in Mary's life and rejoices with her. Mary responds with her own song of joy, hope, strength and confidence in God. This is an amazing encounter between two women whom God calls to an extraordinary experience. Luke 1:39-55 is the complete text -- here we focus on verses 41-45. Thanks for listening.
