Bringing the Personal In

  • Summary

  • We do not always openly share our motivations for our advocacy, research, and development work. For many, personal and perhaps very private experiences have shaped our desire to bring about disruptive change. In two parts, we take a look at how disruptive development often comes through bringing the personal in. The episode features interviews with Violet Acumo from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and Pascal Masocha and Handina Esnathy Ngandini of the Coalition against Child Labour in Zimbabwe. Through an exploration of personal motivations and experiences, the conversation touches on advocacy and research work in the gender justice and child's rights space.
