  • Crispy Coated Robots #243 - Best Political Movies
    Oct 17 2024

Are you ever going to text me?

This episode is the October surprise.

Jason, Jim, and Joseph stop the steal and "democratically" elect their choices for the best political movies.

    • Joseph selects an 80s movie that is so long, it is still playing today.
    • Jefferson Starship and Kevin Costner make one heck of a political thriller.
    • "No joke! I'm being serious right now. And another thing."
    • Jim revises history and talks about how Lincoln would drink your milkshake.
    • President Vincent Barbarino?
    • RULE 203: The authenticity of a historical movie all comes down to the McDonald's bag.
    • "Frustrated Jason" implores Jim to see some of his picks. "No joke!"

Which of Jim's impressions becomes a mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma?

  • Crispy Coated Robots #242 - Best Opening Guitar Part in Rock/Pop Music
    Oct 8 2024

Are you ever going to text me?

This episode cannot decide if it is a riff or a lick.

Jason, Jim, and Joseph take on the impossible task of listing the best opening rock and roll "guitar parts" of all time.

Jim's guitar riff impressions are almost as good as his Charles Grodin impressions.
Joseph likes to think of himself as the "historian" of the group, inaccuracies and all.
Jason reminisces about his performance playing an Atari guitar for a talent show.
    We were Grunge before Grunge.
We still don't know our E chord from a G chord.
The riff was used to introduce Windows 95, so you know it's good.
This is what a feminist sounds like.
    Starship Heart

What famous opening riff did Jason decide could be skipped for his middle performance?
What famous riff had Charlie Watts screaming at Keith to shut up?

    Oct 1 2024

Are you ever going to text me?

Jim recounts the day Mariah Carey begged him to play her music.
It's like Showgirls without the nudity.
Joseph blasphemes the acting performances in A Hard Day's Night.
So much makeup- So many Brooklyn accents.
    Thanks a lot, Simon Cowell.
Jim and Jason take on the Swiftees and Beyhive with their selections.
This time basketball's gonna be different.

Which singer gets a Lifetime Achievement award for bad acting?
