Episode 1220 - Jarvis Kingston Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD Psalms

  • Summary

  • Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Job 1:20

[[A Song of degrees.]] Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD. -Psalms 134:1

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 134
Tonight’s psalm is an invitation to bless the Lord, especially in moments of stillness and quiet. The servants of the Lord in the temple worshiped Him even through the night, reminding us that praise is not confined to a time or place. Whether in times of activity or rest, lifting our hearts to bless His name draws us closer to His presence and renews our spirits.

Take a moment to pause and reflect on God’s goodness. Breathe out the distractions of the day, and breathe in the joy of worship. Bless His name in the stillness of the night, trusting that He is near and worthy of your praise.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for His constant presence and faithfulness, day and night. Rejoice in the privilege of blessing His name and standing in awe of His holiness. Celebrate the peace and strength that come from worshiping Him.

CONFESSION: Reflect on moments when you’ve neglected to praise God in quiet or challenging times. Confess those missed opportunities and ask for a heart that always delights in worship.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for His unchanging goodness and the privilege of coming before Him in praise. Express gratitude for the peace and renewal that flow from worshiping Him in the stillness of the night.

SUPPLICATION: Father, I bless Your name tonight and praise You for who You are. Help me cultivate a heart of worship, both in busy and quiet moments. Let my praise rise to You, bringing me closer to Your presence and filling my heart with Your peace.

    PRAYER
“Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
    JOB 1:20
Dear Lord, You are the Almighty God! Nothing is too hard for You. You remain sovereign and faithful in all circumstances, no matter how bleak. In the midst of Job's suffering and loss, he remained devoted to You even though he was overwhelmed by grief and turmoil. Lord, we thank You for Your infinite wisdom and strength that can carry us through any trial. You are sovereign and ever-faithful, even when our faith falters. Help us to trust in You and remain devoted, no matter the circumstances. May we always hold fast to Your promises, even when the path is hard. We wait upon You with expectation and awe, for You alone are our Rock and our Salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏🏾
