If this Muslim-majority nation, with 63% practicing Islam, passes the bill, Muslim courts would be granted greater authority, potentially eroding the rights of non-Muslims, reports International Christian Concern. Kasim argued that the bill, which aims to strengthen the role of Islamic law in the country, could have far-reaching consequences.
