In the summer, it is only a five-minute drive to the Cabin on top of the Mountain. It is so near and yet, with the winter snow, it is far away as I do not hike well on uneven ground. In life, there are things that are so near, and yet seem far away. They may be closer than you think, if you continue to believe.

The day before Christmas and Hanukkah is a day of anticipation for children of all ages waiting for the dawn of the next day. They go to bed with visions of candy canes in their head. I still have that feeling with the hope that mankind can find a way to fill their hearts with love.
