  • In Chapter 3 of Exodus, Moses is leading Jethro's flock near Mount Horeb, where he stumbled upon a burning bush, but the bush wasn't burning up. Moses went to take a closer look, until the voice of God called out to Moses, telling him to not come closer, because he stood on holy ground. God then tells Moses that He has heard the cries of His people and that He has chosen Moses to free His people out of Egypt.
