  • In the second chapter of The Gospel of Luke, Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem for the census, only to find there was no room in the inn. Mary then gives birth to her firstborn Son, Jesus, in a stable. Angels appear to shepherds announcing His birth, and the shepherds go to see Jesus, and they spread the Good News to everyone in the town about what had happened. Mary and Joseph take Jesus to the Temple, where Simeon meets them, and he thanks God that he was allowed to see the Child before he died. Later, Jesus is now a 12 year old, where He teaches on the Temple, and after 3 days, His parents find him, and they take Him back to their hometown, where Jesus grows up in wisdom and in favor with God.
