  • In this second chapter of the Gospel of Mark, four men break down a roof as they bring their paralytic friend down to where Jesus is as He was preaching, and Jesus, seeing their faith, heals the paralytic man, and the man starts to walk. Soon after, Jesus calls the tax collector to follow Him and He has dinner with him in his house, along with other tax collectors and sinners. The Pharisees asked why He did this, and Jesus answers that He didn't come to call the righteous, but sinners.
