• Meet Elizabeth Eckhoff, former professional dancer and owner of The Dance Company in Fairfield, Ohio

    Elizabeth Eckhoff received her early dance training as a student of Nellie Lou

    Downie in Fairfield, Ohio. She went on to study at the Cincinnati Conservatory

    of Music, Miami University in Oxford, in New York City, and on the national

    convention circuit before establishing a career as a performer and

    choreographer. She served as Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer for

    numerous shows at Disney’s Orlando theme parks, including The Magic

    Kingdom, Epcot Center, MGM Studios and Pleasure Island. She also has

    entertained internationally, touring with the prestigious Crown Odyssey and

    Norwegian Cruise Line. She was hand-picked to appear on Broadway in The

    Will Rogers Follies. She also continues to freelance as a dancer and

    choreographer.

    Elizabeth once again resides in Fairfield, OH with her family. She continues to

    share her expertise and passion for dance at the Studio she grew up in and now

    owns.

  • From Dancer with Cirque de Soleil to Eating Disorder Coach with Marcia Moreno Littman

    Marcia Moreno Littman started dancing at the age of four and was instantly in love! Excelling in tap, hip hop, ballet, and contemporary, she became a professional dancer at age 15 and won the title of Miss Dance International for the United States in 2000. Marcia has danced in many shows including “The Fashionistas”, Cirque Du Soleil’s “Zumanity”, the role of the Dreamer in “Le Reve”, Twyla Tharp’s “Come Fly Away” Broadway Tour, American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars. After many years of struggling with an eating disorder even at the height of her career, she began embarking on her journey of recovery at the age of 29 to save her life. At 41 today, and after being recovered for 11 years from ED, she takes great pleasure in coaching others through their recovery journeys. She completed Carolyn Costin’s coaching program to become a certified CCI eating disorder coach with great pride in 2023. For Marcia, being a coach and guiding others towards recovery is a true calling of the heart.

  • From Ballet to Baseball .... an in depth Interview with Ballerina Roni Mahler I

    Roni Mahler is a former ballerina who was trained by the renowned Madame Maria Yurieva Swoboda. Ms. Mahler performed principal roles with American Ballet Theatre and the National Ballet of Washington (D.C.), after beginning her career in her teens with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo.

    For over three decades, Roni was the Artistic Associate of Dennis Nahat’s Cleveland Ballet/Ballet San Jose, where she taught and coached, as well as performed “character” roles with that internationally-acclaimed ballet troupe. A native of New York City, Ms. Mahler's teaching credits include Ballet Academy East, The Alvin Ailey School, The Juilliard School, Florence (Italy) Summer Dance, The Joffrey School, Ballet Tech, and School of Ballet San Jose. Roni is a former tenured Assistant Professor and director of Dance at Kansas State University, where she initiated the KSU Dance Degree program. Kansas State has since honored her with the Roni Mahler Ballet Studio. For fifteen years, they presented an annual award in her name.

    Roni choreographed for Cynthia Gregory and Fernando Bujones during their City Center season in New York. She is the creator of "Ballet Movement for the Athlete,” a fitness program she customized for the Cleveland Browns. Her 6-DVD collection... “The Complete Guide To Teaching Ballet”... enables dance teachers to explore training methods for all ages.
