Osho always expresses unusual insights to education and the upbringing of children. In this talk, responding a question, he explores the relationship between children and parents. He says, meditation and consciousness give opportunities to change the direction of these relationships and therefore the whole of humanity. Parents respecting their children, rather than seeing them as property, is a key point.

While in the world of literature and film, mad scientists create monsters like "Frankenstein” and almost all religions are promoting skepticism towards science and the fear of manipulating human beings, reality has bypassed such concerns long ago. Osho has a unique view – supporting science, specifically genetic science – but as a conscious science.

Meditação é sentar-se sem fazer nada. Se você começar a fazer alguma coisa, estará movendo-se para fora de seu centro. Quando não estiver fazendo absolutamente nada, seja física ou mentalmente, quando você estiver apenas sendo, isto é meditação. Não é possível fazê-la, não é possível praticá-la. Charitra ki badi sundar mimansa hai is pravachan me. Aam taur par ham charitra use kahte hai jo bahar se aropit hai. Aisa charitra kitna hi majabut dikhai pade, kisi bhi kshan toot sakta hai. Asli charitra bhitar nirmit hota hai aur bahar phailta hai; jiski jaden svabhav me chipi hai.

Man has come of age, and does not need old, superstitious religions which are not relevant to contemporary people anymore. Yet, religious establishments try everything to revive and keep these religions alive on artificial life support—we see fundamentalist movements reborn all over the world. People do realize that religion is an empty box. Today's times need a more scientific approach for exploring our inner beings. That will be possible only if we get rid of our old habits.
