About this listen

I had a reputation and he had the solution.

I thought I was done with Hollywood.
Done with acting.
Done with scandal.
Done with all the lies this industry thrives on.
Then I met him....
Jude Fisher.
A man who knows what he wants. A man who doesn’t accept no and demands more from me than I know how to give.

It started out as a way to prepare for the role of a lifetime. But as it gets closer and closer to the audition, I don’t want our scenes to end.

He makes me want him when I thought I had built an impenetrable wall around my heart. He makes me trust him when I thought there was no one left in our industry to trust.

But it’s all just an act...right?
It’s all just for the callback.

"Master Jude will leave you breathless.” (Stacey Kennedy, USA Today best-selling author)

Great writing and something different!

I loved this story! It’s so different than anything I’m read before. The plot itself is intriguing but then the writing just pushed it up several notches. That paired with Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden and you have a 5 star audiobook! I absolutely loved it!!!

A hot hot listen

First for this Author. Also the narrators Joe Arden and Maxine Michelle gave it all its worth they brought the story to life .
In some Parts Maxine was so sarcastic I had to laugh at her lines.

Hero is Jude. Heroine is Marley. We meet both Marley and June in Chapter 2 when they first meet and interact with each other . Marley wants to be a big time actress and Jude is a big time actor with awards .
Marley is going to audition for a part but she gets ansy and her nerves play up on her . She has her cell phone timer set so she won’t be late for an audition.
Jude comes out of the audition room and in one way or another saves Marley but she also saves Jude from a hord of fans
Jude thinks that Marley will be perfect for the role. You ask what the role is. It’s being a submissive. Jude sees the little signs that Marley gives off June has to convince Ash the director that Marley is perfect.
Does Jude land Marley the part. It’s not for shy at heart. Yes it’s a love story but there is spanking screams in a BDSM club

This is a must listen

An interesting read...

Marlena (Marly) Taylor is fed up with powerful Hollywood people trading acting roles for sexual favors. She walks away from those sleazy producers and directors without the role, but with her head held high. She auditions for the lead in a new movie being produced by a legitimate studio about the BDSM lifestyle. Her inside joke with her 'fiancé' is that BDSM stands for Burritos, Doritos, Snickers, and M&M's. Her 'fiancé' is an action star, and is up for a recurring role, yet is hiding the fact that he is gay, so that he doesn't potentially lose out on the role.

Jude Fisher has been cast as the male lead in the upcoming film, but he's been burned by his ex-wife, who used him to get more notable acting jobs. Marly does well enough in her audition to get a call back, but so does Jude's ex-wife. Marly is woefully unprepared for the role, and Jude decides to help her prepare by teaching her a bit about the lifestyle. He is actually a participant in the lifestyle, and makes himself vulnerable to Marly by sharing this information. He moves her into his 'club' for a week of exposure to the lifestyle and for lessons in trust.

This book will challenge BDSM stereotypes. For example, while Jude is teaching Marly about the lifestyle, he mentions that "sex is the least of BDSM. Yes, it's a component, but anyone can have sex. It's everything leading up to that which is important." He also stresses that, "it's about the power dynamic between two people. It's sexual in nature...but it's not always about sex." "Above all else, BDSM is about trust. Trust and control." As Marly delves deeper into learning about the lifestyle, she learns some very important lessons about trust. The supporting characters are interesting as well, and it seems as if the author has additional projects in work for at least one of these friends.

The narrators do a fantastic job of bringing these two characters to life. The pacing is lively and engaging, and the conflicts for each protagonist are clear. The story may even be responsible for a bit of sleep loss...It was definitely difficult to put down. The production quality is first-rate, and there aren't extraneous noises in the background, or mouth noises as the words are spoken by each narrator.

A Little Taste of BDSM Lifestyle

I really enjoyed listening to both narrators. They did an amazing job. They are the perfect Marlena and Jude. I already read and reviewed the e-book bit this narration was spot on.

A different kind of meet-sub...

The concept of the book leads you to believe that we’re gonna have a story about an actress who discovers Burritos Doritos Snickers and M&Ms while method acting with a superstar. Alas, there is so much more than just going to a sex club.

Here’s the thing, there’s a lot of dialogue between Jude and Marlena. It is that dialogue that is really why I enjoyed this book a lot. Sure there were some steamy parts, but to hear their conversations really added a great element. Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden really knocked it out of the park.

I found a few of the B and C stories to be a little weak, but the main story was strong. I cheered for this couple. Very good read.

Sinfully good

This book is a little hidden gem. It has a great story and very steamy for those who like BDSM. It’s not dark or hardcore but surprisingly very romantic. The characters were believable and their actions realistic. I only wished it had an epilogue. It would be nice to see how the movie or wedding turned out. I know there will be a series of these books so maybe we will get more of this couple in the next books.

Outstanding Erotic Romance w/ engaging narrators!

I walked into this romance purchasing it solely based off of the great cover. Some covers are horrendous these days so an eye-catching one totally makes me read the blurb to see if It might interest me. When I read it was about actors and BDSM AND IT HAD AN AUDIOBOOK, I had to take a chance on it because those are all things that resonate with me as a reader.

I'll be the first to admit that Marlena at first was super annoying to me. Here's this actress who has the chance to take on this 50 Shades of Grey like role and she's not taking it seriously to immerse herself in this lifestyle to understand the character. She was super sassy and unyielding with her hero Jude. He was this huge actor who was a Dom in the lifestyle who was willing to coach her on being the submissive the role required her to be, but she was so hard at listening. I was so sure I wasn't going to like her at all.

But as the book progressed she fit neatly into the role once she learned that being submissive didn't mean that she wasn't strong and powerful. Jude had some issues in his past that made me humanize him as a Dom and as a person. Doms are always written like they make no mistakes and he's probably one of the most human Doms I've read that owned up to the mistakes he's made with subs in the past. That's what made me love him as a hero and the sacrifice he made for her at the end made my heart melt. I was in awe of the kind of love he wanted. He wanted what his parents had and had made the sacrifices necessary to convince him of that by the stories end.

I hope there are more of these books because I would happily read them! This has been one of the best BDSM books I've read in a while.

Never enough chapters by the male narrator.!!!!

There's NEVER enough of the male narrators!! I wish there were more chapters with Joe Arden. Good story, but if you think you are getting Joe.....you ARE NOT. Sorry.....next book narrated SOLELY by Mr. Arden for me.
