The third story has a very interesting take on what the superman surrogate opinion on santa claus. which really got me thinking that Santa Claus is a tool of authority which is really weird to think about.

this is one of the better harum books you can find, if you don't like the genre don't buy the book, the plot is actually interesting but if you like me you do find the sex scenes interrupting it sometimes.
I don't find myself questioning the intelligence of the main character so that's a plus.

some interesting choices would suggest

from the title and the artwork you think it's going to be mostly about the murder hobo, but it turns out it's about a team of four and only follows the story of three of them. It makes a little sense cuz the story is being told by the fourth member but it's still somewhat jarring. still if you got past those minor hurdles it's still a really good book.

best book I've read in months

with all the books coming out it's a bit hard to find good ones. Gideon the ninth is one of the good ones. the world-building is some of the best yet most annoying I have found

why is it magic with technology
what are the personalities of the nine houses
why do they use swords instead of guns

these are many of the questions I had while reading. at one point I thought it was going to give me an info dump. this book never gave me an info dump. which I am impressed with also annoy at. all is world-building is show don't tell. which if you're someone who doesn't like puzzling out the background of a world, this book might not be for you.

great book definitely recommend.

satire of your childhood

it begins a parody of video game like dragon quest. and shifts into mocking legend of Zelda if you like either of those buy this book

this book opens up with a sex scene not one paragraph in and we're already discussing MCs rooster getting along with his companions kitty cat
and yes I did see the"Warning: This book contains adult elements" In most other books that means them merely acknowledging sex exists.
fade to Black/light erotica is standard not mediares in your face meat and two veg

WARNING main characters straight up EVIL

I picked up this book thinking it was going to be one of those good guy stuck in evil / misunderstood faction. oh my NO, there's one moment in the beginning of the book where he tries to rescue some injured soldiers but right after that he high dive straight into the deep end of evil.

If this is the kind of book you want to read go right ahead it's well-written. just know what you're getting into

I enjoyed the book, it's a little bit heavy on the swearing, a fun thing where the protagonist doesn't tell you his name but then on the second go through he says his name right there in the beginning. disappointed, also on audible shows the second book as available but then you can't buy it annoyed
