Historia
Melvin Murphy is your average everyday teen... until he finds the System. Melvin has normal problems. High School. Tests. Trying to find a girlfriend (and failing... miserably). But one day he awakens with access to a System that governs all magic. In his attempt to summon a teacher to show him the ropes, he botches the ritual and accidentally summons a magic-wielding girl named Kalliphae. Sure, she's powerful and deadly. A femme fatale who's more intimidating than even the most popular girls at school.

co-dependent much
Revisado: 01-20-25
the story started out well enough, but then along comes Kali he is immediately enamored with her the main character. the amount of codependency amongst the two is nauseating. this puppy love stage is kind of annoying. that kind of takes away from the whole story. first we have a lvl 12 nobody taking out a lvl 100+ vampire. then he goes to wizardry School for what seems like a half of a semester and then he's off to another world to rescue his girlfriend he doesn't stick with anything such as his apprenticeship such as school such as being an emperor it's really he doesn't have no fighting abilities besides editing and deleting. it's like the author had so many ideas for character development but they all just fall short. of the main character and some of the auxiliary characters is very off-putting. the jealousy and the rebukes from his girlfriend is off putting the jealousy from the main character is off hoodie. when he's in the wrong or she is in the wrong they want to stick each up for each other even though they're in the wrong I am not sure the author has ever been in any kind of relationship. this book is okay for kids less cuddling more character development and maybe better descriptions of fight scenes and the scenes that are surrounding them

Historia
*Updated Second Edition, February 2014: New battle maps/diagrams included.* The United States has descended into Civil War. The storm was rising for some time, a Resistance in the hearts of American Patriots to the strangulation of liberty by creeping authoritarianism. The scene was set. It just took a little push. A terrorist attack on the United States leads to war with Iran, followed by collapse, as the economy goes over the cliff. The final blow is a widespread opportunistic Chinese cyber attack, taking down the North American Power Grid. From the ashes, the Regime emerges. Liberty is ...

Good thing it was free
Revisado: 12-13-24
AI narration I have found sucks. the author is not do a very good job with dialogue the book is mostly explaining everything. where there is dialogue it is very short and to the point. no back and forth no anything. the author also loves acronyms. author does not do a good job description of settings scenery sides say we're in a valley we're in a forest not very descriptive. he does pretty well with the battle layout and explaining that some stuff. it was a good thing the book was free because I probably would have called and got my credit back

While he sat back and watched the United States rattle swords with Korea, play chicken with Russia, and strong-arm China, he felt sure if the lights went out that he and his family would be ready and safe—whether it was due to a natural disaster or a man-made event. They had everything they needed at their homestead.

just stop
Revisado: 12-11-24
don't bother. this book sucks. waste of time. the chacters are all unlikeable besides Puck. the main characters are preppers but clueless at the same time. no situational awareness. it was like the author has no knowledge of security and training , yet has an idea that I'm a proper and going to write a book. just prepping stuff doesn't make you prepared.

Good but not Great
Revisado: 09-12-24
The narrator over all did a great job. the story on the other hand was kind of annoying so let's look at this, the survivors were any where lets say from 10-18 mostly. yet Luke who is I'll say probably 15-16 years of age is so smart and so well versed in Chinese military hardware he knows what a 25mm cannon is. He chooses a crossbow as his main weapon and with 2 days of practice is deadly accurate and oh he makes "arrows". I'm thinking author likes walking dead. That's the thing is the author makes little mistakes like calling a fully auto Chinese AK-47 an "assault weapon" a magazine a "clip" and a semi automatic pistol a "automatic pistol. Don't get me wrong I think that kids can learn to survive and are resourceful but this seems to be a stretch of them being badasses in less then 6 months without any type of training.

story meh, narrator awesome sauce!
Revisado: 08-11-24
let's start with the positives narration was awesome. it was a very good story for lit RPG but religion aspects felt very pretty kind of Bible thumpish. my biggest complaint with the story was the one character Emily I did not like your character I thought she was very liberal in her views trying to put her views on to other people also the religion asset of her character I just thought they could have killed her off in the first one. Jackson was an awesome character thoroughly underdeveloped until the third book, Sarah I believe they could have got rid of her after the first book to be honest with you I did like the aspect of her class as monster Friends I think they could have did more with krink. mira typical 15 year old teenager, Dave was nagged by his wife who just did not seem to get the kind of world they were in I noticed that he was starting to slip a little bit and becoming a obnoxious or dominant lord. class building though was pretty good I liked the way that someone went I wish we would have seen more of the dorms minotaurs the sun elves assuming that these are all coming later books because we see heard a lot from the boards. I didn't like the facts that they would touch on certain characters and interludes but you never really heard too much from them after that I'm assuming later books they will be there. I see that the author is definitely trying to string the books all together eventually I just think there were some stuff that could have been left out and it would have been more cohesive okay story I'm curious to see how it progresses.

Dying might just be the best thing that ever happened to Dare. Not the dying itself, of course, although thankfully he doesn't remember it. He finds himself in a gray void, where a mysterious voice offers him a choice: Continue on to whatever awaits him in the afterlife, or be reborn on a world with video game-like mechanics. Which as far as he's concerned isn't a tough choice at all. Just that quickly Dare begins a new life full of possibilities, eagerly venturing out to explore a breathtaking world, level up and become powerful, and romance and fall in love with beautiful women of an ...

WTF!!!
Revisado: 03-06-24
I am not sure where to start with this book. the MC is a sex deprived degenerate that will bang anything with a hole. I don't mind sex scenes in a book or in the movie but this was like a 13 years old porn fetish. the game mechanics sucked as well. the book was free to listen to I still want to refund. using a woman's voice even AI for a male character is dumb. save yourself the credit the time or whatever and do not read this book!!! if I could I would give it zero Stars

An alien cat turned me into a superweapon. I was homeless on the streets of Third York when it happened. Then the military arrived and gave me a choice. Enlist or die. The next thing I knew, I was fighting giant robots at the Xenoforce Academy's boot camp. Figuring out superpowers and energy levels was hard enough, but I had to deal with a mind-reading alien princess, a team of gorgeous women, and a femme fatale in charge of the whole operation. Oh, and a galactic conspiracy is threatening all of humanity. It's up to me and my new feline friend to set things right. A civil war's brewing on ...

not a bad listen
Revisado: 12-16-23
First let me say this these books is for adults only. Now overall the books were good, not great but good. character development was lacking and mc was way op. MC was cast as someone who women wanted and who men want to be kind of thing. great city building story for the first 3 books. not sure if I envy Griff or feel sorry for the guy who in the heck wants 26 wives? The ending was lack luster really, it left way to many questions unanswered. narration was really good I thought they both did great, but author could have done a better job.
