Ellie
They lied to me. Kept secrets.
And now, I'm forced to pay the ultimate price.
The Divine One sees me as a necessary sacrifice in this war I know very little about.
Do I allow myself to become a pawn... or do I fight back with everything I have, regardless of the consequences?
The Kings
The girl we adore and love is in the hands of our greatest enemy.
The cult that haunts the halls of Grove Academy wants to use our Ellie for nefarious purposes. We might be too late to stop them.
And even if we do find a way to save Ellie... will she ever forgive us? Or is our story destined to end in tears and bloodshed?
This is a dark reverse harem romance with gothic academics, dangerous cults, serial killers, and a sweet girl planted smack dab in the middle of it all. For mature listeners.

It is BALANCE - a balance between the actual action and inner dialogue.
The first two stories in this series are a perfect example of how an author can have a brilliant idea for a story and then smother it with gratuitous inner dialogue.
When a pivotal, long awaited confrontation is occurring, having each line of dialogue between characters and every single step in the action interrupted by a character’s thoughts - regardless of how poetic or profound they may seem to be - it’s akin to being in a car where someone slams on the brakes every 5 feet. In these big moments in a story, the only inner dialogue that should be written is that which is immediately essential to the forward momentum of the action.
The ability to shift writing styles according to the type of scene is where the truly exceptional authors seem to separate themselves from the rest. I hope this author catches on - she truly has potential.
Dear Authors: Use this as an example…
