Lawrence D. Palmer
When Robert came to get Charles for his watch it was pretty dark out and Charles had his plan set; as long as we can hear Clyde laughing and calling for Macy, I would know that Charles would be okay. I was so scared Charles would get caught, but he knows how to navigate woods and has a sense of direction. I kissed him goodbye and told him I loved him and he was off into the night quietly not to wake Robert or tip off Clyde. Charles took his pistol and a knife with him just in case; he was a good hunter and he told me if he ran into trouble he would fire the pistol three times. He told me before he left "be careful and don't trust anybody."

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Probably the length. The story works but, it seems there was not enough time and detail to make some connections more concrete, leaving it up to the listener to fill in any gaps.Would you be willing to try another book from Marguerite Trainor? Why or why not?
