Given that the story also involves Holly soaking in time prior to a loved one’s passing, the tone is more maudlin and sweet than sassy and funny. As a short novella, however, things always stayed on the
“focus on the rainbow after the rain” frame of mind.

Abby knows how to pack all the goodness in even in a little short story. Such a sweet meet cute and I wished for more. You never can go wrong choosing one of her books and the narrators where chefs kiss…two of my favorites!
