For Christian women in midlife navigating hormone imbalance and persistent fatigue in perimenopause and beyond—this is your steadying place.

I’m Bethany Thomson, RDN—a functional dietitian and Christian life coach specializing in holistic women’s hormone and digestive health.
Through personalized nutrition, root-cause insight, and grace-based rhythms, I walk with women through perimenopause and beyond to help them reclaim their energy—so they can live with presence, purpose, and peace in the season they’re in.

Each episode brings gentle reflections, gospel-centered care, and whole-person healing for your body, mind, and spirit.

Welcome to The Ingrained Living Pathway—a podcast born from the very work I live and offer through my practice, Ingrained Living: Functional Nutrition & Holistic Hormone Health.

Many episodes begin as voice memos—recorded on slow walks or unhurried drives through the Tennessee countryside I call home.
They’re raw, real, and rooted in the same story-honoring, Spirit-led care I offer my clients.

Some episodes are poetic and reflective.
Others are practical—grounded in functional medicine, nutrition wisdom, and life-giving rhythms for everyday life.
All are designed to help you live with intention, alignment, and grace—even in the storm.

Come walk with me.
There’s space for you here.

May you remember:
Rest isn’t something you earn.
It’s something—and Someone—you return to again and again.

This is about living from rest.
And you don’t have to do it alone.

  • 002 | The Grace of Enough: A Midlife Christian Woman’s Invitation to Pause, Nourish, and Return to Presence
    Jul 1 2025

A gentle reflection on the pull to keep going, the struggle to stop, and the grace that comes when we return to simple practices of rest, nourishment, and presence.

This episode was recorded on a quiet drive at the end of a creative, slightly chaotic day.

In these gentle minutes, I reflect on the deep pull to keep producing—even when my body and spirit are quietly asking me to pause. There’s chamomile tea, cottage cheese, a stone wall, and the sweet noticing of one of my children. There’s also wrestling—with momentum, nourishment, screens, and the unspoken fear of what happens if I truly stop.

In all of it, I found a whisper of grace.

    A return to presence.

A reminder that our bodies are not machines to be pushed—they are temples to be tended.

This episode also includes a brief, grace-filled teaching on hydration, blood sugar balance, and nervous system support—why these rhythms matter, and how they help us feel grounded and safe in our bodies. It’s a gentle entry point into functional nutrition through a Christ-centered lens.

If you’ve ever wondered how to stop when everything in you says keep going...

If you’ve ever struggled to believe that rest is allowed, even before everything’s finished...

    This is for you.

May you find the courage to pause—and rest in the grace of enough.

  • 001 | When Is Enough, Enough? An Invitation to Midlife Christian Women to Return to Rest
    Jun 26 2025

A short, honest reflection recorded from the road—on the pressure to do more, the overwhelm that creeps in, and the grace of letting faithfulness—not perfection—be your guide.

A Quiet Invitation to Release the Pressure and Let Faithfulness Be Your Guide

This episode was recorded in the car after a moment of overwhelm—when all my to-dos, ideas, and responsibilities started pressing in. Instead of pushing through, I paused to record this short reflection for the woman who might be feeling the same.

It’s an honest whisper of grace:

A reminder that enoughness isn’t measured by what you finish…

But by what you faithfully carry.

If you’ve ever reached the end of the day and still felt behind—this episode is for you.

You don’t have to do it all to be worthy.

You don’t have to finish everything to be faithful.

    You’re allowed to exhale.

Come rest in the quiet reassurance that you’re already held.

    Acknowledge the longings.

    Celebrate the growth.

Rest in the grace of enough.
