Relatable and inspiring!

I loved this short and inspiring little book. I’ve been training jiu jitsu for two years now and the concepts he talks about are helpful to me, as I’m still a beginner but also have some understanding of the game. He covers a lot in a short amount of time. I think it helps me love jiu jitsu even more, as he put into words sone of how I was already feeling but couldn’t quite make sense if it myself.

See the Forest

It is so easy to get hung up on a submission or sweep etc. but thinking about the ‘why’ behind doing what we do is so much more advantages. Great insight from a great writer and fellow jiu jitsu player.

Listen to this before you even start!

Well written, insightful, and inspirational. This is a book you can keep going back to again & again and always take away something new. Shorter than your average podcasts & packed with immediate applicable advice on how to enter into the world of jui jitsu. Class still seems like and endless matrix of black holes, but this certainly provides a map and compass for your best approach through your whole journey. His other book is enjoyable as well.
