Publisher's summary

Two years after Nina Peterson's brutal murder, her husband, Steve, is still fighting to bring the killer to justice. Their six-year-old son, Neil, remains haunted by the terrible vision of the murderer's hands wrapped around his mother's throat. And Sharon Martin, who has grown to love both Steve and Neil, wishes only to ease their pain and suffering. But as 19-year-old Ronald Thompson sits wrongly convicted on the eve of his execution, a stranger is still watching - still plotting as he did before, living for the moment when he can kill and kill again.

Mary Never Disappoints

The story was good, although I was able to piece things together before they were revealed, so there were no surprises. Still, I enjoyed it. Ms. Buckley’s narration proved rather flat, but was easy in the ear.

Narrated to perfection

Very well written story made even better by the amazing narrator’s delivery. Expertly slowed to enhance the suspense, alternating with a multitude of emotions depending on the characters state of mind.

Downloaded the abridged version. Wish I had the full. Caught my attention very quickly and listened intently to the end.

Unusually good for an abridged book

I generally detest abridged books, but this one was easy to follow, and kept the story intact reasonably well. Had it been the full version, I probably would have given it 5 stars.

The performance was a bit dragged, but MHC has much better readers these days. This one did have clear pronunciation and enunciation. Very nice, as that isn't always the case.

Bad language

I couldn't believe that at the vet last chapters they used God's name in vain. Ruined the book for me.
