Great Advice!

I have 3 kids and my youngest has ADHD. It's a totally different thing parenting him than parenting my 2 other kids. We have struggled in my family, it has been a bumpy road. But this audiobook makes so much sense, you can tell the author "gets it" and the advice is great and very helpful.

Fill your cup

I have read and listened to a lot of parenting books recently, and while many are great, they almost all miss one important part. This book does a great job of bringing up that part that I think is super important. A critical part of being a good parent, or any kind of caregiver, for a long period of time, is to also take care of yourself. For all the patience and love you need to have towards those you are caring for, you also need them towards yourself. This book makes you feel seen, understood, and proud of the parenting you are doing, all while helping you prepare for the parts that will be a challenge. Well done.

A Lifeline for Parents Navigating ADHD Challenges

If you’re raising a child with ADHD and feel like you’ve tried everything to no avail, this audiobook is a game-changer. From the moment I hit play, I felt seen and understood. The author combines empathy with actionable advice, offering realistic solutions that actually work in the whirlwind of daily life.

What stood out to me were the practical strategies, like creating a smooth morning routine (no small feat in my house) and making homework sessions less of a battlefield. The section on communicating with teachers was an eye-opener—I immediately used those tips to advocate for my child more effectively. And let’s not forget the chapter on self-care, which reminded me that taking care of myself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary.

The narrator’s tone was warm and engaging, making the experience feel like a conversation with a trusted friend. If you’re overwhelmed and searching for something that finally clicks, this audiobook delivers. It’s not just advice—it’s a roadmap to a more harmonious home. Highly recommend!
