About this listen

Agatha Raisin, retired PR supremo, has been spurned at the alter by the man of her dreams - her attractive neighbor James Lacey. So temporarily deserting the sleepy Cotswold village of Carsely, she pursues her fleeing fiancé to north Cyprus where, instead of enjoying a romantic honeymoon, they witness the killing of an obnoxious tourist in a disco. Can the duo forget their differences and resume their strangely successful sleuthing partnership?

Addictive and Irritating

What made the experience of listening to Agatha Raisin and the Terrible Tourist the most enjoyable?

Agatha finally stood up to James! Yay, I really find it hard to pity the guy.

What other book might you compare Agatha Raisin and the Terrible Tourist to and why?

Any other in the series, it truly is one of a kind.

Which scene was your favorite?

The final scene, not because it was finished but because James was the one waiting like a sad puppy for once.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

A lot of rage. These characters were somewhat likeable together, but when they fight wish I could smack some sense into them sometimes.

Any additional comments?

A peak in the series. Finally there is some, a nanometer really, of personal growth in our main character. Hopefully the next book doesn't have her backsliding.

Enjoyable overall

I am enjoying this series but I don't know how much of that is due to Penelope Keith's performances-she is wonderful! I will say I've had about all I can take of the ridiculous Agatha-James relationship.

Go Angie, GO!

I love Agatha Raisin and her dynamic personality! When this series ends, I will feel the loss.

Enjoyed the story and especially the narrator, Ms. Keith. Agatha is such multifaceted character. Highly recommend as an escape from life’s stress.

This was the best so far... for me.

I enjoy an Agatha book between heavy duty books; this is a fun series, full of eccentric characters,
and a 'heroine' who is actually her own worst enemy: she gets herself into the most dreadful situations.
Agatha shouldn't trust her instincts.. this is what makes the series so appealing; i plan to continue reading these!!

One of the best of the series

Penelope Keith just does a fabulous job of narrating these books. She's by far the best. Thoroughly enjoy her interpretation of the various characters.

This is one of Beaton's best stories. Really fun.

If you enjoy a fun, easy "cosy village" type murder as a break from more serious reading, you'll enjoy this book immensely.

Fun, entertaining mystery

Great mystery. My first introduction to the book series. I have watched a few of the BBC shows. Enjoyable distraction.
