"Congratulations! You are the last survivor of the Hell Games. You have gained back your freedom." Huh? One moment I was running from demons and other competitors trying to do me in. The next, I was thrown back into yet another realm. Before me, some Princess started explaining that she had asked the gods for champions to help save her world in these dire times… and I was one of the chosen heroes. Yeah, right! I had been in Hell long enough to know I shouldn't trust my senses when it all seemed too good to be true.

Story
In a world where runes hold unimaginable power, mere mortal and gifted artisan Nate must harness arcane magic to navigate treacherous paths, reveal the hidden truths of his own past, and discover the workings of the illusive ‘System’. No big deal. Emboldened by only his penknife and a weirdly profound understanding of runic sorcery, Nate must uncover if the path he has been thrust upon may spare his earthly existence. After all, why only leave your mark on one world… when you might leave it on two?

Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a magic-filled, dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with everything changing is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

I used to be the greatest Earth Mage in my world. The head of the entire Order of Architects. But the older you get, the more you come to realize that at some point, you need to retire, so that you can have the chance to enjoy a peaceful life and to cede your place to the young, some of whom have already turned two thousand years old . . .So that's what I did. But I failed to account for one thing: during the course of my long life, I'd accumulated too many enemies, and they had decided to spoil my retirement. So they died along with me. After an accident, Laran wakes up in a strange fantasy world governed by a System, with his only knowledge coming from his fiery tutorial assistant, Toot, a faerie who is more snarky than helpful. Even worse, the Undying Empire is hunting him for reasons he doesn’t understand. That means hordes of undead soldiers, dark assassins lurking in every shadow, and worse. The good news is that apparently he is considered a Glory Seeker here, meaning he's able augment almost anything he does by using points of Glory, a resource earned through actions in the world—heroic or villainous.

the book is a little rough, I assume it's a new author, so that's to be expected.
it spends precious little time on a plot, instead rushing from one cool scene to the next with little to string them together.
that being said, a good editor could do great things with this author.
the scenes are cool and fairly well written.
I'll certainly keep an eye on this author, they have potential

This book is an exhilarating fantasy story that had me hooked from the first page. The bond between Rohgar and his dragon companion is beautifully crafted, adding depth to the already thrilling monster-hunting action. While the plot follows familiar tropes, the author's unique blend of magic systems and world building keeps things fresh and engaging. If you're a fan of dragon-bonding stories or the fantasy adventures, this book is definitely worth your time.
