Publisher's summary

Falyn Fairchild can walk away from anything. Already leaving behind her car, her education, and even her parents, the daughter of the next governor of Colorado is back in her hometown, broke and waiting tables for the Bucksaw Café. After every shift, Falyn adds to her shoebox of cash, hoping to one day save enough to buy her a plane ticket to the only place she can find forgiveness: Eakins, Illinois.

The moment Taylor Maddox is seated in Falyn’s section at the Bucksaw, she knows he’s trouble. Taylor is charming, breaks promises, and is gorgeous even when covered in filth - making him everything Falyn believes a hotshot firefighter to be. Falyn isn’t interested in becoming another statistic, and for a Maddox boy, a disinterested girl is the ultimate challenge. Once Falyn learns where Taylor calls home, everything changes. In the end Maddox's persistence is met with Falyn’s talent for leaving, and for the first time Taylor may be the one to get burned.

I really like the series

Another enjoyable read by Jamie McGuire.

I loved finally getting to know the twins, Tyler and Taylor, or at least one of them. In the previous books they were mentioned, but we never really got any details on them. True to form, Taylor is definitely a Maddox boy.

There was some suspense and mystery, but when the surprise was revealed the story lost a little bit of interest for me. Fallon went from a strong independent woman to acting like a scared teenage girl. She was rather annoying in the second half of the story.

I can't wait for all of the Maddox secrets to be revealed. It seems like everyone is hiding something - and like Fallon said, for a family that is so close they have a lot of secrets!

I love this book

One of jaimes best books so far. But... did anyone else catch when then narrator said Taylor instead of Tyler in the 4th minute of the last chapter? Also.. the narrators “Taylor voice” was super annoying. But I am obsessed with the maddox brothers so here I am buying the next one.

This story needs to never end. I'm addicted. That is all.
I need my own Maddox Boy...

Voices in my head

Loved the story, however when the narrator attempts to sound like a man, she makes them all sound like dipshits.

I loved it!

Another great book in this series! I love how this series overlaps from book to book. In this book Falyn & Taylor are a "real" couple! I love her hard to get attitude in the beginning, she really made him work for it! I just liked this story all around from characters to plot to narration! Can't wait for the next one!! I want a Maddox Brother ;)

Also, The bad reviews all mention 1 thing from the book and I hate to say it but it's fiction and that incident is something that happens in real life, no body is perfect, even our book boyfriends!

Likeable

Good story with likeable characters. A little predictable. Almost impossible to match the perfection of Beautiful Disaster.
