About this listen

Blair

I'd been waiting my whole life to run. When I uncovered hidden papers detailing my inheritance, I knew my time had come. I packed my trunk full of plant babies, black nail polish, and determination. With my demons in the rearview mirror and my trauma for company, I made my way to Elmwood. The remote Maine mountain town is home to my future, a potential love interest, and a lot of really weird, possibly deadly secrets.

Richard

Until recently, the most interesting thing in my life had been a particularly difficult Sunday crossword. Even my vampiric transformation hadn't disrupted my life much—it was still boring and repetitive, albeit with more blood than I'd previously dealt with. When newcomer Blair—a charming five-foot-tall vegan ball of rage—blows into town, it's all I can do not to follow him like a love-sick puppy. He’s everything I’ve been missing, but there's a catch: I need to spy on him and convince the Council he’s innocent of his mother’s crimes. Here's hoping I don't end up with a corpse instead of a boyfriend.

Bite Me! (You Know I Like It) is a standalone slow-burn paranormal MM romance with high heat, an HEA, and no cliffhangers. If you like spooky stories with mystery, suspense, hilarious miscommunication, and characters that make you laugh, listen on!

I was sucked in!

This book was so good! The story had twists and turns I never saw coming and the ending had me speechless. My only complaints were Blair’s VA spoke a bit too fast so it was hard to catch details sometimes and the story did drag at some parts from being too wordy, but overall I loved this book and the VA from both actors was really well done!

Spooky Adorable!

I found this book and author via TikTok, and thought I’d give it a try. The book was very cute! I am looking forward to the next book and hoping more books from this author will be on audible. Definitely plan to listen to it again.

And Now, on to Book # 2 Spooky Boys

I’ve listened to hundreds of audible books and this title jumps into my top 5 for “Best writing and character development” …best narrative acting ( two narrators) …best story line…best keep you on the edge of your seat right to the very end…most original non- formulaic, non- predictable plot lines…
most skillful, masterful, thematic intertwining of the main characters effort to escape from traumatic childhood abuse and the fantastical mix of “other worldly” supporting cast of characters that include a rescue cat, and vampiric families and family leaders who abide by a communal code of ethics, so to speak.
Wonderful book that is a “ must read/must listen” 5 star reviewed delight. Trust the reviews.

Queer love at its best!

I love these characters, their care for each other, their flaws, their kinkiness…the world they live in is a perfect hybrid of mundane and fantastical. 🥰🥰🥰

thoroughly enjoyable

I loved everything about this! the way it dealt with trauma, the sweet intimacies, the hot passion, the silly flirting, and the spooky paranormal! it was all of my favorite things rolled into a wonderful book with unexpected twists as well as anticipation for what you know is coming! the narrators were both wonderful and did a great job with their respective roles! overall this book is a 10/ 10 for me!

Supernatural Delight

Let me just start by saying I LOVE the narrators. They were fantastic (just didn’t want to forget to mention them)!
This was my first real delve into supernatural queer romance. After reading Let Your Hearts Be Light (god that was so flipping good), I definitely wanted to listen to more of Fae’s books. And now I am hooked. Starting the next immediately!

The repeated expressions that drove me insane.

The author had a quirk where they would repeat the way Blair spoke to an annoying degree. When Blair would describe something he would say "it said.....it said....it said...." Three or four times in a row with a different expression each time. His character does this a lot. It felt like nails on a chalkboard after the first time.

It was okay. all the plot points hit their mark like they were supposed to but 2/3 of the way through I felt like I lost all interest in seeing how it ended. I forced myself to finish by speeding it up to 2X.
