I love Rebecca’s writing style and this story didn’t disappoint. There’s a handful of authors I read or listen to constantly and Rebecca is one of them. This story is engaging from start to end. I loved Amarylla. She’s brave, smart and has a big heart. The chemistry between Amarylla and Galanrae is exquisite and when the spice hits, it’s so juicy. If you love arranging marriage, mask prince, strong female character, curse, rebellion, magic, Etc… then I recommend this story. Lulu Russel did an amazing job narrating this story.

Kenney does not disappoint! I absolutely love her style of storytelling. She’s a master at crafting feisty, strong heroines and charming, layered male leads. Her action scenes are vivid and dramatic, and the plotlines are always engaging and well-paced. This particular tale is a delicious slow burn (which I adore). Amarylla and Galanrae are forced into an arranged marriage by their warring fathers, but what starts as reluctant alliance turns into a powerful partnership. Together, they team up to overthrow Galanrae's father, whose dark ambitions threaten the conquered lands. Lulu Russell’s narration brings the story to life beautifully. Her performance is engaging and entertaining. She really nails the characters' personalities. I highly recommend this story to fans of slow-burn romance, strong plotlines, and fierce heroines!

i will forever be a rebecca fan.
the premise is a princess is sold for marriage to the prince of a kingdom with strong magic that has overthrown her own against her will.
she is fiesty, strong willed, quick witted and a force to be reconed with. she is cautious with her trust and heart.
as she discovers secrets and devises plans she never has to be saved. with so many books making the FMC some of those traits its rare that they are made the savior and not the MMC.
the twists and turns of this story keeps you on your toes and as always the spice is hot and perfectly placed.
the narrators portrayed all of the characters individuality with ease and seamlessly allowed for not on the strength of each but also the moments of vulnerability.
