Publisher's summary

"Fast-paced, sexy, and altogether irresistible. A flat-out fabulous read!" - NY Times best-selling author Celia Rivenbark.

He's six foot four inches of sexy British music legend. Twenty years ago, she was his adoring fan. Now, her career depends on unlocking his secrets, but he's about to unlock her heart.

It's more than a lucky break when music journalist Claire Abby lands a Rolling Stone cover story with British rock star Christopher Penman. Claire spent her teenage years gazing at his posters on her bedroom wall, fantasizing he was her boyfriend, and falling in love with his mysterious green eyes. Two decades later, in person, Chris is everything Claire feared - off-the-charts sexy, ridiculously charming, and utterly nerve-wracking. He's not about to discuss the rumors he's dodged for a decade, but she has a job to do. She must earn his trust, unearth the truth, and eventually, the heartbreaking secret behind it.

His blockbuster story is her first priority when she returns home, a nearly impossible task when Christopher starts calling and flirting. Is he trying to keep her from telling the real story? Or did he feel the same spark she did? Either way, she can't deny his wit, his buttery British accent, or that little voice in her head that says she'd be an idiot to say "no". And when she agrees to see him? It's beyond anything her teenage brain ever imagined.

Entertaining story but the narrator...

The story was entertaining, a great beach read. However, the narrator was not the right choice. Her whiny voice and poor American accent made it almost unbearable. I finally had to finish the books by reading them on Kindle.

Nice story, but narration is painful

Enjoyed the story but the narration was awful. It sound like a computer was reading it at times.

Sweet. Funny. Sad. Hilarious. HEA!

I loved the story and the characters! I’ve never laughed out loud and hard. I fell in love with Chris and Claire. Oh and dear Sam! I highly recommend this book.

Awful narration

I’ve never given a poor review. Unfortunately Ruth’s narration felt like one run on sentence. She was also extremely monotone.
Very disappointing. I couldn’t get myself to finish the book or get completely vested in the storyline.
I was excited to try this author. If I find a book of hers in the audible plus with narration from one of my favorite narrators, I’ll give her one more chance.

What is this accent???

Is the narrator trying for Irish? American? British? This accent and lack of intonation are so weird that I couldn’t get beyond the first 5 mins.

The voice

I feel horrible saying this but I couldn't get over the reader's voice. I only listened for 5 minutes and I couldn't stand it. The story seemed good though! =(

uggghhh

I will review the ebook separately since I had to buy it, because the narrator for the audio was so awful. To say her voice, pronunciations, and intonation were annoying is putting it mildly.

Listen to the sample first before purchase.

Nope

Wow! When I read the reviews regarding the narrator I figured they were overblown. Nope. I didn’t make it 5 minutes.

Weird affected accent of the narrator.

The story didn't have much of a plot, but it was okay. The narrator's weird accent was almost unbearable.

Don’t waist your money

Probably the worst book I’ve experienced. Annoying narration, empty content. I couldn’t wait for it to end. I’d give zero stars but that was not an option. The only reason I didn’t stop listening is I paid for it with my hard earned money. They should of paid me to listen!
