About this listen

I’ve been burned out too many times and I don’t have the time for it. I don’t have the patience. I don’t have the luxury. I have too much that I have to do and too much that I want to do. I’m not alone in that attitude and I won’t apologize for it either. But there’s something to that attitude. Especially when it comes to burn out.

Am I going to blame hustle culture?

Let me shock you and say no.

I don’t have time for blame games. I’m not blaming hustle, I’m not blaming our culture, and I’m not blaming you or me. We’re a product of our environment and we do what’s required of us to survive.

But I can’t afford the burnout anymore? Can you?

It’s not even the money I want or the money I lose when I'm burned out. It’s the set backs mentally, physically, emotionally. I can’t afford to get sidetracked on my dreams when someone else is willing to hustle harder while I’m sidelined into ‘self-care’ and insignificance.

Where’s the balance, babe? And be realistic. How do we move forward? Where is the solution? I’ve tried the band-aids and they’re not cutting it. The advice falls flat. The experts like to hear themselves talk meanwhile I’m still burning out faster and for longer. It’s getting more expensive. Time is expensive.

I’m not an expert in behavioral sciences or psychology. I’m a widget in the hustle culture machine. And when that machine is running smoothly for me - it’s my best friend. I love it. The thrill. The chase. The game. I choose this path every single day.

But it’s that burnout that takes me out at the knees unexpectedly and I would be lying if I said it wasn't starting to hurt.

This is my journey in discovering how to cure, curb, and prevent burnout. Finally.

It's time.
