About this listen

She’s bound to serve her enemy for a hundred years. Now, she’s at risk of killing the man…or falling for him.

After she lands on the losing side of a war, Saga is sentenced to serve Ari Sekundär, the man she despises.

But when Ari is blamed for a tragic assassination, Saga is forced on the run with her reluctant master, and they must work together to survive. Soon hate feels more like passion, and disgust more like desire.

What Ari doesn't know is that falling in love with the enemy will have deadly consequences. But how can Saga tell him? If he gives his heart to her, it will unlock a hidden secret that can destroy the kingdom…and end her life.

Den of Blades and Briars is the tale of The Swan Princess reimagined. This compelling new adult fantasy continues the bestselling world of the Broken Kingdoms as the first book in the Southern Kingdom. Welcome to a world filled with fae, Vikings, and spicy romance. This book has mature content that may not be suitable for all listeners.

Another Great Read from LJ Andrews

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

I put off reading the last trilogy of The Broken Kingdoms because I didn't want it to end. When I heard other readers talking about Ari and Saga's story, I knew I had to just dive in and read it.

LJ is so great with angst. This enemies to lovers has everything you want in a good story. There's history between the two characters and it was well worth the wait to get to hear their story. Ari and Saga are fully commetted once they make a decision about something and once they commit to each other, I absolutley LOVED how they were all in. Ari surprised me! He's always so self-centered and focused on things. He doesn't like it when people touch his things.

Prophesies are woven throughout The Broken Kingdoms series and this book was full of them. When prophesies are spoken about Saga, Ari is pulled by feelings he never knew or thought he would have. Saga believes that Ari hates her and she believes that she should hate him. So, why does't she?

I can't wait to hear what happens in the next book. They've won one battle, but war still rages on and Saga is desperate to find a way to save Ari.

This is the first narration I’ve listened to by Tim Campbell and Stina Nelson. They did a pretty good job. It took some time to get used to their voices, but soon all I heard was Ari and Saga.

Ari and Saga

To be honest, when the story opened, I was not excited to be listening to the tale of Saga and Ari. I liked Ari as a side character, but never really thought of him as a main character. The more the book went on, the more I enjoyed the two’s tale. The few twists and turns that were thrown in were a delight as well. Although not as good, in my opinion, as the other stories, it fits perfectly and I am excited to see what comes next!

It just gets better and better!

Saga and Ari’s story is almost as amazing as Case and Malin (it’s super close but Case is my forever book boyfriend) such a fun story with the hilarious banter that Ari is known for & Saga gives it right back. The narrators are hands down the best in the biz!

Great book

Another beautifully written book by LJ Andrews. Arie is one of my favorite characters in any book and I adored his banter with Saga. I can’t wait to read the next book!

I loved the story. There were many interesting characters with fast-paced story development.

I loved this book overall and can’t wait for the next book. The only slightly annoying thing is that names were not consistently pronounced on audible.
