Publisher's summary

Narcissism is running rampant in our society. We are becoming victims of other people who are self-centric, self-absorbed, distrustful and neurotic. Many of these people are experiencing delusions, psychotic episodes, hallucinations, cognitive deficits, attention deficits and memory deficits. They may have low IQ, head injury trauma or other disabilities that they have never exposed to us.

You may be a very trusting person. You may think that another person will be candid with you about the child abuse that they may have experienced. You meet someone else, and they tell you that they come from a good family. They tell you everything that you want to hear. They tell you everything that they aspire to be, instead of telling you what they truly are.

None of us is perfect. But the least perfect person of all is the narcissist. He will lead you to believe that he is perfect in many ways. He will convince you that he is the only person who will ever love you the 'right' way. He is convinced that the world revolves around him. He will make you convinced of this eventually, too. This is his sole purpose, and he is very good at the skills that he uses to achieve this goal.

This book, like the other books in my narcissist series, seeks to further educate those who are victims of narcissists. My hopes are that you are in a safe place at the current time, and that your mind is clear. You might be trauma bonded to the narcissist so severely that you can't seem to remember who you even are anymore. This is what the narcissist does: he is a parasite, and he sucks the life out of anyone that he comes in contact with.

Very informative, no story, be cautious of tactics

Short and sweet. cuts to the chase. I have practiced these tactics in the past and they very much can make a narcissist violent so be mindful. This short book will help you prove your thoughts if you practice or have practiced the tactics. Be blessed! Stay strong!

Very validating

While every time I listen to these books, I learn and become validated to the factors that have ruled the dysfunction in my family. I did many of these things to try and devastate SOME of the narcs in my life, but I was made to look the bad guy with my poor reactions. This books encourages cheating, and basically fighting dysfunction with more lies and dysfunction.......I prefer to remove myself. The value I got was how the Narc, sold all my stuff she didn’t care for. The fact that my NARC mother protected my Narc wife and the fact that my narc wife was turning her parents against me to feed herself and I am just staying away from all of them.

overall the book details a narcicist quite well. I finally see what I've been dealing with more clearly now.

I would give ZERO stars if I could ...

I have searched out a few books in reference to this topic for two reasons: 1) information about a narcissist/how to communicate with someone that has NPD and 2) to use my knowledge in my personal life. Unfortunately, this book told me how to make the narcissist enraged and to “get a backbone and stand up for yourself”, which is not only what I’m trying to avoid (defeats the purpose of trying to communicate with them), but also made me defensive because, of course, I have been traumatized and emotionally abused by someone with NPD. While I am not volunteering to be the victim, it is my duty as a mother to be knowledgeable and do what I can for my child. NOT to just go guns blazing at the narcissist to purposely trigger them. Worst book and biggest waste of time listening to it.
