About this listen

There are several general principles used in permissive or indirect hypnotherapy. This audiobook is a brief introduction to the principles behind Erickson's unique form of psychotherapy.

Milton H. Erickson, M.D. was an American psychiatrist who pioneered several indirect or permissive hypnosis techniques. He also developed several naturalistic techniques using metaphors and stories. He is one of the two most important figures in the development of hypnosis and hypnotherapy in the 20th century. His techniques have been used in behavioral and medical applications.

This is book one of the Embracing Ambiguity: The Worlds of Ericksonian Hypnosis series.

Meh

Not a lot of info in 17 min. What’s there is OK, but…
Should’ve known.

Don’t waste your money.

This was 17 minutes and 48 seconds, then they want you to purchase the next book. Disappointing is an understatement!!

Superficial

Shallow way to explore the methods of million Erickson. It gives a very generic idea without offering realistic facts.

Misleading unfortunately

I had thought all books were included in the purchase, otherwise I wouldn’t have spent money for 17 mins of a brief summary. Super disappointed with this purchase and I am rarely one to complain. I should have looked at reviews so lesson for me.

20 mins

The content was excellent. I was surprised, though, when the whole reading came to a grinding halt after 20 minutes. This “book” is really just a short reading for one credit. Not great value for money.
