best SHTF series around,

very well written and great storyline. I have found other SHTF books have wooden characters and patriotic, good vs evil storylines. This series is much kore complex and fun to read.

Understanding the goal

The believability of such a tale is a little far fetched. I do believe that ordinary people can rise up and do extraordinarily things but not on a regular basis. As far for entertainment, this books score high marks and was enjoyable to listen to.

enjoyable sequel

I like this series and the writing has been consistently original throughout the story. This installment carries on those traits. There is a deeper plunge into the storyline that doesn't fall off into the other Apocalypse themes.
There is plenty of action, excitement and anticipation. I recommend reading this book.

So glad I stuck w/1st bk & continued.

This has been a very good series. I'm anxious to hear some more from this author. And of course, reader Kevin Pierce can't be beat!

Not as good as the previous 3

The story continues on nicely, but too much nothing going on in this book. It felt like too much fluff and boring detail. We got a lot of the points in the previous books.

The Empire is coming

This is the fourth book in the Dark New World series. I read the first three books some time ago and I was pleased to see the fourth book released.

In this installment we find the clan has regrouped after the near ending of the clan at hands of the White Stag crew lead by the vicious Peter.

The clan is now focused on forging relationships with near by groups of survivors for the benefits of both trade and security.

It's becoming very clear that the Empire is coming and the next big battle looms in the upcoming fifth book.

Jazz and Chuny huh. :)

I like the way things are heading in the novel. I believe there's only one book left and I can't wait to start it, but I truly have to wonder if one book will be able to close up all of what the first four books have assembled. Other than that this is an awesome book series.

Good fictional account of "what if"

Characters for the most part are interesting and the authors developed them very well. Very realistic for the most part with few exceptions and easy to project yourself into the story.
