Publisher's summary

Carbs aren't causing your weight gain. Dairy may not be the reason for your upset stomach. And your liver isn't fatty because of the occasional hamburger. It's time to enjoy eating everything again—and to reclaim our health along the way. Eat Everything offers a better alternative to complicated, minimally effective, and highly restrictive diets. Physician Dawn Harris Sherling lays out compelling new evidence implicating food additives as the real culprits behind diet-related diseases and shares simple, actionable advice to heal.

Digging into emerging research, Dr. Sherling realized it's not the foods but the food additives, especially emulsifiers, that are at the root of our problems. Our bodies can't digest them, but they're everywhere in the ultra-processed foods that make up about half of our daily diets. In this refreshing and accessible guide, listeners will learn:

- How to lose weight without a restrictive diet

- Why so many popular ultra-processed foods are actively harmful to our bodies

- How to navigate eating at restaurants

- Tips for filling our grocery bags with real food

- Why avoiding food additives is beneficial for our bodies and minds

Great, informative listen!

Having suffered from IBS for years, I was very intrigued by this book. It was so eye-opening and feel like I'm so much more informed now as a consumer. I will be more diligent in reading labels for what I buy for myself and my family!

Making life better

I could never figure out why my gut flip flops on any given day. I have been trying to figure this out for a long time, and just got use to this being how my life is. I am extremely lactose intolerant and I just thought it was my main problem. I really hope that what I learned from this book is going to help me improve the quality of my life. At least now I have a good starting point. The old saying “you are what you eat” is really true. I really try to eat healthy, however I did not realize how many inflammatory additives on a given day I was ingesting that my body cannot process. I have high hopes of feeling better. I recommend this book if you have any gut issues, or just want to educate yourself.
