Publisher's summary

Brooke Chambers is forced to leave the army and the job that she loves. Moving back into civilian life, she never imagined it would mean looking after her teenage sister and searching for a new career. But, with the sudden loss of their dad, Brooke finds herself stepping up, and in the process, looking for a new job - any job. Getting the chance to let off some steam, she heads to Art, a lesbian bar, and meets Catherine. It’s lust at first sight as both women feel that instant connection, despite the obvious age gap. With Brooke’s new job being the same place where Catherine works, she assumes it was meant to be. Catherine, however, has other ideas and puts a halt to any prospective love affair, much to Brooke’s confusion and heartbreak. When she tells Brooke to forget it, she didn’t quite mean it so literally and wishes she hadn’t said it, but Brooke is injured on the job and loses her memory...and forgets Catherine.... Will they get a second chance to work things out?

Loved it!

“Forget it” is a upbeat story with plenty of ups and downs. Catherine & Brooke have an instant attraction which brings them together in a hot and fiery beginning to only end up being squashed as soon as Cathrine sees that Brooke will be working for her. This book has plenty of angst, confusion and of course do to an on the job incident a bit of Memory loss. This story was well written and you find you can’t help but cheer for these two MC’s. 5 star ⭐️

Everyone needs a second chance.

I loved how this story is so magnifently told. Kim Bretton gives brilliant voice and emotional depths to loveable characters, (even the ice queen). Claire Highton Stevenson gives a story of such a hot, steamy connection between two women you can't put the book down. This is a well written wity dialogue of a second chance for love.

steamy, believable

I loved the narrator and will definitely add her to my list of favorites. The story itself was believable, entertaining, and original. I appreciate that there was not a large amount of unnecessary drama, and at first I thought the epilogue would be predictable, but thankfully I was pleasantly surprised.

A light, entertaining listen!

An enjoyable Ice Queen romance from the talented Claire Highton-Stevenson! The kind when you just need something light and entertaining - like a summer beach read. Great English narrator too.

Forget it

This is a new to me author and narrator and I enjoyed the introduction to both. The only thing that stopped me from loving this book is how long the misunderstanding dragged on. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable book with easy to like characters. The narrator did a good job of bringing the book and characters to life.

AMAZING

It had a bit of a slow start. Then it was absolutely captivating. I couldn't stop listening. I was laughing and cursing through out. I need another story like this one. It really does feel like a movie in my mind.

Sweet romance

What a sweet love story! There was the right amount of angst and I loved Brooke’s persistence and how Catherine “thawed “ over time. Great listen!
