About this listen

In 2856, Tycho Barrett and Andrea Capanelli are on the run, pursued by Sol Federation agents and assassin Mimics under the command of The Eleven.

Andrea believes the Federation is compromised at the highest levels. As they reunite Section 9's field team to recover evidence and expose the truth, the sudden death of an operative leads Tycho to suspect Andrea herself, but can he trust his eyes and ears? When filtered through a haze of augmented data, can anyone truly know objective reality?

The web of illusion shatters in the final mission for Section 9.

Le dernier épisode de la série...

Un ennemi qui semble insaisissable, la trahison de la part d'amis, un combat permanent et une fin... superbe!
Comme toujours, l'interprétation est vivante, prenante.
Un bel audiobook.

The premise was illogical but great narrator and tons of action

The series had a ton of action scenes and honestly the reason I got into the series is because I’m a fan of the narrator. I enjoyed most of the characters except the MC was self-righteous and hypocritical which wasn’t too annoying but it made me role my eyes too many times. Tyco was straight up whining the whole series.

The main issue I had with the story is the premise that ideologies dont withstand time unless you are immortal. The 11 took one event in the long history of humanity to base their ideology off of which is hypocritical. They claim small skirmishes helps focus humanity yet that’s what history was made of except for the 8year war.

Both the 11 and Tyco ignore that political parties, ideologies, monarchs, presidents, wars, etc all have long reaches far into time that strategically manipulate the masses, so the 11 are really just like anyone else in power yet they think themselves long-term visionaries while Tyco is disillusioned that there haven’t always been puppeteers behind the scenes.
