The guided meditation for healing posttraumatic stress was made with the help of trauma experts as well as sufferers of posttraumatic stress—combat veterans, survivors of motor vehicle accidents, criminal assault, domestic violence, traumatic grief, bombings, natural disasters, ICU stays and childhood sexual abuse, as well as those who witness, document and clean up after traumatic events—first responders, journalists, photographers, therapists and bystanders. Empowering and effective, this guided PTSD audio program increases self-esteem, confidence and sense of self-worth, while it reduces distress and depression. A separate track of affirmations* bolsters the PTSD treatment process with quick, positive reminders in a briefer format, which can be played while engaged in other activities, including driving. For recent trauma, we suggest starting with the less intense, relaxation imagery for Healthful Sleep and Relaxation & Wellness, then, once self-soothing skills are in place (usually after daily use for two to four weeks), moving on to this guided treatment for PTSD, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma.

For people with more seasoned wounds, this program can work quickly and well. However, each listener should be guided by what feels best and respect his or her own reactions and timing. Incredibly powerful meditation

Typically, I have a hard time with meditation, because I either can't stay focused, or I fall asleep. Evidently this one is specifically designed to help you process trauma, and I found it incredibly powerful. It brought out a lot of emotions so it's something you want to do in a safe space. It really helped me to calm down some anxiety, and I can see how it will help me if I do this every day for several weeks.

I've listened to this audio meditation for years

I found this meditation many years ago when I was going through genuine trauma. I listened every night and believe it was a factor in my recovery. Now, every night, Bellaruth's soothing voice and the hypnotic background music are a bridge to falling asleep instantly. The words are brilliant for connecting to my heart and the "inner guide" who is ever with me and restoring connection with my body.

Extremely helpful!

For myself and my four decades of unhealed childhood trauma and subsequent heavy drinking, this is a miracle. I love it. It is extremely helpful these days when it’s hard to find a good effective therapist. This is worth every penny! 🥰
