Just as gripping as the first Gina Harte Novel

I read a few reviews posted by other readers it said this book wasn’t as good as the first novel, but I think that it was just as gripping and just as thrilling! So much so that I went ahead and downloaded the third book halfway through the second book. It is predictable on who was involved in the murder but it was meant to be written that way. There’s still a good twist at the end!

Meh

Trite. It killed time, and I had hope after The Next Girl, but it was really a mash up of cliches.

Took a bit for it to come together, but good overall

I enjoyed this book, but I also felt like it took too long for all of the moving parts to come together. At the beginning, I was so confused about who all of the people were in each chapter. I liked The Next Girl a little better. Will be on the lookout for future releases by this author.

Thriller with interesting characters

I liked this book more than I thought I would. The detective (Gina) is tender with her own flaws. The storyline is interesting with some creepy characters.

Good book but a lot going on…

I really like the author and the narrator. Love the characters too. This one really had a lot going on and if it wasn’t part of a series I’d say it needed to be a bit longer to tie up some story lines. There were also maybe too many moments of slightly implausible behaviors. But it is a series I’m glad I found!

Talk about Stepford wives...

Wow! I found this much better than the first book in this series (which I did like.)

We’ve come to know Gina and her surrounding characters by now. Gina still needs to stop thinking she can do it all. I would have rated it a 5 except for all the characters introduced together. I was a bit confused at first but figured it out eventually. And I honestly didn’t guess who the murderer was. But what strange marriages these people have.

Good narration. I enjoyed this.
