Nice stories ...but...

We enjoyed these as a family heading north on a road trip, but only one is really a holiday story. I am unsure why this is a holiday compilation.

O'Henry at His Best

The narrators were easy to listen to. Classic O'Henry short stories with themes of unselfishness, generosity, love, hope and a lot of humor!

I enjoyed the Narration very much and would recommend these stories. Great for the Christmas season.

Three well-narrated classic tales

This title includes three stories by O.Henry: The Gift of the Magi, The Cop and the Anthem, and The Last Leaf. The Gift of the Magi is familiar, of course. The other two stories are less well known, but are still well written – one is amusing, the other heartwarming – and I very much enjoyed them. The narration by all three readers was excellent.

Holiday classic short stories by O Henry

I enjoyed these stories but two of them jumped around a bit and were somewhat disconnected.

Definitely a Worthwhile Listen

Three touching and memorable stories comprise this volume of holiday classics, narrated superbly by some of Audible's best narrators. Though short, it was a very entertaining listen, as each story kept me interested and really transcended its historical time frame. Definitely a worthwhile listen.

Classic Tales

You can count on the masters to be able to get great stories with very few words. A familiar story of the Magi, although I've heard better narrations.

Great stories, odd choices in the narration

If you could sum up Holiday Classics by O. Henry in three words, what would they be?

Classic Christmas twists.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Holiday Classics by O. Henry?

As with all of O. Henry's short stories, the endings are very memorable.

How could the performance have been better?

O. Henry's stories take place in New York. The exaggerated Southern accent given to some of the characters in Gift of the Magi is out of place.

A wonderful rendering of the classic tales!

I have loved these stories ever since my father shared them as his favorites. But now with amazing narrators, the stories come to life in a new way. A great addition to the Christmas season!
