Publisher's summary

Philly Thompson once met Jesus on a city bus. After that extraordinary visit, Philly’s life didn’t go back to being ordinary. The intervening years, however, have been more tragic than magic. In that time, he lost loved ones, lost another job, and lost much of his faith. Jesus didn’t promise him a story filled with magic. But he did offer himself, a continued connection with Jesus, his dearest friend.

That friend is talking to Philly again, and inviting him back into conversation and back into helping people in need. By now, Philly has settled into a new life full of hope and possibilities. Will it be full of Jesus? How can he include Jesus in his life again?

A direct sequel to Seeing Jesus, the most popular book by Jeffrey McClain Jones, Hosting Jesus invites you into Philly’s ongoing story and includes news of characters from other Seeing Jesus books.

The audible book version adds warmth and depth to written version

This book promotes a credible and lovable view of a Jesus who loves us and has promised to never leave us through His gift of the Holy Spirit. Real, non fictional accounts of visitations, dreams, and appearances have never stopped since His Resurrection. Even more exciting are accounts of personal encounters with Jesus through prayer and simple listening and watching for signs of His presence in so many daily events of of our lives if we will just be still and give Him a chance by our attentive listening. “Hosting Jesus” is the 6th book in the “Seeing Jesus” series. They all deal with the pattern of an individual having an intense life changing encounter with Jesus, then experiencing the integration of that experience into everyday life experiences of sharing God with others. The author wishes to demonstrate that these experiences are much more common than expected, so characters with the same or similar visitation experiences cross each others’ paths. The books themselves are loving experiences of God. They are loving and thought provoking. The reader of “Hosting Jesus” does a great job in keeping the characters separate and identifiable and so gives a warm and natural rendering of the story.
I was given an advance copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review.

I did not want this to end!!

I love this concept of seeing and hearing Jesus. For me this does not feel like fiction. Jesus is constantly in my thoughts and conversations. The only thing wrong with book, is that it ended. The writing and stories are captivating. The narrator did an excellent job with all the different characters. I recommend this book for everyone.
