Publisher's summary
The people of ancient Sumer are gathered to celebrate the rite of the Sacred Marriage, a joyous and glorious testament to the unity of Goddess and Man. Times are tough, crops are failing, and this year’s ceremony holds special significance.
But for the priestess Simi, the fertility rite is very personal. Because it is Simi who will be locked in a room with a stranger to carry out the blessed responsibilities. Only this time, the stranger is no stranger at all....
In the Lap of the Goddess is written by Arvind Ethan David and Whitney Mosery and stars Jacob Tobia as Simi, Kasper as Eresha, and Utkarsh Ambudkar as King Gilgamesh.
Earworms is a series of short speculative-fiction dramas–tales of what might have been...or might yet be...or perhaps in fact are, if only you were paying attention...if only you were listening.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. Three months ago, Tansy Bloom quit monster hunting. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

Story
World War II is the defining conflict of the 20th century, one that created a line in the sands of history dividing the pre-war and post-war eras. In this epoch-defining conflict lies another definitive moment: the invasion of a 50-mile stretch of coast in Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944. This battle, also known as D-Day, was the pivot point of the war in Europe. Its success led to a nearly yearlong, bloody campaign that saw the liberation of France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands, followed by the final defeat of Hitler’s Third Reich.

ADHD may be the defining diagnosis of our time. According to the latest data, more than 10 percent of American children (that’s 7.1 million kids) have been diagnosed with ADHD. And the number of stimulant prescriptions for adults in their 30s has shot up nearly threefold since 2012. In recent years, this explosion in demand has combined with other factors to create a widespread stimulant shortage in the US. In the second installment of Backfired, cohosts Leon Neyfakh and Arielle Pardes look at the unintended consequences of the ADHD industry, and trace the surprising path that brought us here.

Not expecting this
“Spectrumy, fearsome, and sexy.” This description of the goddess is accurate to this story. What a fun, intelligent, romantic, silly, deep, relatable tale. Not for the close-minded. I will definitely listen to more of this podcast.

Rather genius way to explore the Goddess
Highly entertaining and a spot on view of Goddess wisdom incarnate. A clearly Well researched and thought out play on ancient teachings.

Inclusive, creative and different
It was Inclusive, creative and different. The storyline has out-of-the-box, thinking, mixing a sexual focus, but intentional with a back in the day feel.

Enh... It was alright
The performance was good, but the whole over writing "history" with modern takes, and values thing isn't really my thing. Gilgamesh's son Urlugal is over written with a woody Allen like Gilgamesh the second, and a bunch of lgbtq values are inserted with the main character just because, including a lot of snark. It just felt dishonest. Some people may like it, I just thought it was meh okay. Kinda has a lgbtq Mel Brooks History of the World absurdity (minus musicals), while attempting social commentary aspect to it.
