Forget life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.... Surviving is a feat in and of itself.

Seventeen-year-old Ellie Hudson immerses herself in the few things the Supply Wars haven't destroyed - her ranch work and secret baseball games with her best friend.

But her power-hungry stepmother is leading a group of domestic terrorists in an effort to start another Civil War and frame Ellie as the instigator.

Ellie’s lost her father, her home, and her country, but nothing can rob her of her need to preserve the American dream - or what’s left of it....

Predictable in almost every way you expect

The Narration in fantastic. The different voices and accents help me follow the story
The writing is great. The author really knows how to paint a scene with words.
The plot holes are huge. The entire story could have been avoided if the main character, who despises lying, just stopped lying. It could have been such a better story had she trusted those around her like she stays so many times throughout the story. This makes her a bigger narcissist than the evil step mother that only she can bring down. It doesn't matter who she hurts along the way.

more of a set of love stories told In 3 different points of view than anything else. if you're into that, it's a good story

Nice self-contained postapolcalyptic series

This story is a cool look into the saga of a small American town after society has collapsed after massive EMP bombs erupted. The collapse of societal Norms takes its toll as factions begin to form between power hungry paramilitaristic forces and people struggling to hold on to their values and identity before the supply wars

The story unfolds on the same events from multiple viewpoints which was really awesome to fill in gaps

should have stopped with 1

The first book was good. The second and third book seemed unnecessary. The first book gives Cinderella vibes to start but progresses into it's own thing.

Cinderella with twice the angst

This book almost made me give up on the entire distopian genre. I hate the lead character Emma.
She is so whiny and weak I am going to get my money back. Oh and the puppy love doesnt belong this book should be listed as young adult love story with 3 times the syrup.
Just a total waste of time.
