Publisher's summary

A daring departure from the typical!

Newly updated in March 2022, this audiobook recognizes that despite laws and ad campaigns, people still use meth because it feels good. Ignorance and misplaced shame are by far the biggest factors that cause the meth user harm, thereby creating social and financial costs to communities everywhere.

This audiobook is not intended to induce anybody to break laws to use meth. It is a recognition that numbers of people already use and so ends ignorance with 32 tips for safer use to make using meth as harm-free as possible. Myths are busted, how it works is explained, and the hazard of chronic use is honestly explored.

Written by a former meth user of 12 years, this no-holds-barred audiobook also explains how using meth can hook you in and take you down the rabbit hole of addiction and dependency. It concludes with a discussion about finding the motivation to quit using and includes the nine commonsense actions that helped the author stop and stay stopped.

Absolutely life saving and changing

If your an addict please read this book, it’s really honest and accurate, it gives life saving advice, things you should know and NEED to know but don’t. If you want to clean up and you have no idea where to start he gives you lots of options and information a plan, etc. it’s scary & heartbreaking but wonderful! I’m super glad I read it! Recommend to anyone who faces addiction and family members who don’t understand it, (if they want to anyway) yes he does repeat himself in the last few chapters, who cares it wasn’t that bad.

Incredible compassionate information

Great info for anyone, but I heard every missed take. A sound editor must finish the last few chapters because the stopping and starting after each take are all left in. The rough cut is live, and I don't want it to detract from the incredible Information that this book tackles.

Honest. Factual. Enlightening.

The story was told in honesty. He’s exactly right, drug users are people too! I appreciate the way he explained the correct way of using. That honesty can very likely save lives! I think it is very admirable to shine truth and the way out of something that had a hold on you. Well written and well read!

helpful information. not completely thorough.

what I liked about the book was the information on use and how to do it safely. what I did not like about the book was I felt it wasn't very thorough it was brief and didn't really dig into the information that it could have offered. I look forward to seeing a new addition or meth 201.

Worth a Listen

Important and honest information for friends and/or family of an addict from a former addict. For this, however, stick to the later chapters covering tips and tricks for getting and staying sober, enjoying sobriety, and supporting someone who's ready to become sober (though this info is mainly for someone who they themselves are on the path to recovery). Only drawback is that I wish Audible had edited the author's last 2 chapters, as every reader messes up reading. Otherwise worth a listen.

GREAT INFORMATION!

As one who never used drugs but have a son that got addicted to meth, this information was extremely helpful. He will be coming home from a drug rehab soon and I wanted to have information to help him stay off of drugs. this book offered a lot of insight. I marked only two for performance because he had to continually repeat himself when he messed up in the audiobook. I really wish the author would have simply stopped the recording when he made a blooper as opposed to letting all of his bloopers be recorded. IT WAS EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!! However, because the information was extremely helpful I bore through it, but had a bit of a headache at the end of it. still all in all it was great information and I am glad I obtained the audible book!

Brutally Honest

This author is by no means encouraging people to start using meth, (as some closed minded idiots seem to think in prior reviews) but rather he is speaking the truth of what is behind, on top of and in front of this addiction and he doesn’t sugarcoat it because it’s not supposed to be a nice, sweet anti drug story! It’s the 100% TRUTH and I hope it helps a lot of people that are too ashamed of their addiction to seek help, This was an intense but wonderfully rewarding read, Bravo to the author. I wish more people had the courage like he did to stand up and tell his story.

you just ruined someone's life....

this person acts like meth is good or fun. it ruins life's, relationships and families. not really sure why he or a publisher would let this be aired. listening to this for 10 mins made me sick. Imagine how many people you just got hooked on meth....if it's just one, thats too many. and yes, someone will go and experiment. just one hit of that stuff and you're ruined.
