A WWII Submarine Adventure Novel

The better you are, the more is asked of you…and the higher the heat....

Bull Shark and S-52 have just attacked a large bombardment fleet off the coast of Guadalcanal. And although they didn’t stop Henderson from being shelled, they might have at least curtailed it. Yet the Japanese are undaunted and more determined than ever…and the Empire has its sights set on some of its most deadly foes.

Upon conferring with General Vandegrift ashore, Captains Turner and Waters are informed that a group of refugees are trapped on New Ireland, just across the sound from Rabaul. Elmer Williams, recently flown in from Pearl, delivers orders from Webster Clayton and Admiral Nimitz to go and get them off before they’re found by Japanese troops and executed. and they’re being joined by some old friends.

Al Decker and his Marine Raider unit are put aboard Bull Shark, and will go ashore to locate and rescue the Australian civilians. However, both submarines are unaware that they’re sailing into a large and complex spider’s web…a web spun from treachery, deceit, and deadly intent. Now the race is on…can the boats and Decker’s men get ashore and get off again before The Sensei can close his trap and seal their fates? Or will they all be squeezed to death in the iron grip of Hirohito’s lust for power?

Guns thunder, depth charges boom, and torpedoes streak through the sea in this action-packed naval adventure-thriller!

Exciting

I love this series. The performance is great too. I do wish the narrator knew how to pronounce naval terms that aren’t always said the way they look. But this is pretty normal and by now I just correct them in my head. These books are a hell of a ride.

Amazing, Exciting Again!

And the hits just keep on coming. Scott’s writing and Dave’s performance keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Heck, it’s still only 1942 on the Canal so Scott has room for many more books and I’ll be there to listen to every one of them. I thought for minute that Jarvis was taking a book off then wham, there he is! OMG. Well, it’s off to book 8, and I pray SWC is off writing number 9.
