it was so corny

The script was almost satirical and the actors performance didn’t help.
If you need a chuckle, give it a wirl.

About break-ups

Nowhere in the description does it talk about the fact this is all about breaking up with a “psychopath”. Super weird

Listener be very aware...

Have you ever been curious about how people advise on dealing with life riddled with Narcissism, Psychopathy, and Sociopathy at work, home, community, and everywhere. I noticed something very wrong with this book. At one point in time people were taught their kids were naturally bad and you had to beat the sin out of them; today we call that abuse and negligence. These books should deal with how to exist in a world where you can coexist with many of the typical people that end up in positions of trust and managent where they can do the most harm unchecked. Now what is wrong with this book? Ever been suggested "The Prince" as a reading on how to be a leader not realizing it's more of a satire then as a person versed in critical thinking find something called "The Dark Triad" describing some of the worst people characteristics? If you are unaware while listening to this book then I'll let you in on a little bit of what is happening here. Have you ever run into a high energy entrepreneur seeming so confident that people seem to just want to listen in hopes they can be successful; then you find out his word isn't "GOLDEN" but it turns out it's an act paper thin from a Ponzi Scheme. There are all those books filled with advise on how to deal with whatever or how to become the "Alpha." Now some of them are excellent to help understand the world around you especially if you have been sheltered. If you've been hurt and abused and taken advantage of by leaders and managers and there's always a wall between you and those that seem to always be in charge and ever notice how most of the advice is to do your job well and at some point you realize you are just a worker and there is no ladder? Well, this is not a book for you. I might suggest one on how to build wealth, investing, maybe even Lincoln on Leadership and build yourself into the person you want to be. This book should be considered offensive to those not in the know. Basically this whole book is full of advice originating from people that are for lack of better worlds: Psychopaths, Sociopaths, and Narcissists for people able or should I say allowed to act in those ways and have a superficial stress from not getting their way. Some of the advice would be valid if presented in either different contexts or under different motives. The issue is if you aren't on the top then you'll find you'll be learning to do the same things people are doing to harm you. My advice is to find something not "touchy feelly" but instead talk with a good therapist and look at book to help you move latterally into a position where you can move up even if it only enough for you to stand up on your own two feet. You might be right to say a lot of this book might seem like great advice until you realize the actions behind the words, where and why they are said. Think about it this way: You've heard the advice of taking a 8 to 15 minute power nap to recharge and get back to solving those problems, tey that as a blue collar worker. What will your boss say when he catches you. Or the advice of "Karma will carch up to them" when someone maliciously attacks you through legal or business channels. Much of the advice in this book just really isn't. Many of us when we were younger were told we need to save yet not a single person taught us how to save and invest with our real budget. This book is trying to tell you save with your mental budget and severely lacks the realities of how to become mentally stong and resilient outside of what amounts to be more in line with mantras. You don't become a good mechanic by telling yourself and believing you are; you find people that have been trained and have a good reputation for long term repairs and learn from them. This book should be more aptly titled, "How Sociopaths cope when they don't get their way!" Spend time around people that spout all the stuff in this audio book and you'll realize the following anxiety you get while reading are the memories of those individuals. A true leader never sounds like this audio book and from the lowest level worker to the CEO, you don't really want to deal with this book. I'll say if this book seems like it fixes you mentally then I would suggest a good therapist and ask them to help you develop good personal and professional relationships. If you are in an abusive professional relationship then make sure to be honest with HR and work on finding a place where people respect each other.
