Heal for the better

Good motivation once you’ve identified the problem
I found the vast majority of the advice/counsel in this book sound and very helpful. As someone who is in the post relationship period with a narcissist it has reminded me to think less about them and more about myself. My only negative feedback is that some of the advice the leans toward alternative medicine or treatment is proclaimed to be scientifically proven. While that’s not the case I can certainly still see value in them or they would at least be harmless practices despite not having scientific backing. The other thing is the the readers performance comes across like an overly happy pharmaceutical commercial. It’s over the top and can be distracting from the good advice.

Not a waste of time

Unbelievably precise information, incredibly helpful after separating from a 12 year nightmare relationship. This book should have a million 5 star reviews. Very helpful when moving on after a traumatic relationship
I am separated from and in the process of filing for divorce from a spouse with BPD and NPD and this book had a lot of helpful information to help allow me to move on emotionally. After 14 years together, I have completely lost myself and my sense of self. Everything revolved around him and our children so this book was helpful to me because I had no clue what self care even was. I do however think that I may need to read a few more of these books because my relationship was not just mentally abusive but physically as well and this book doesn’t address the physical abuse aspect. Overall though it was helpful.
